# Glossary

Definitions for common DS-1, audience, data, and activation terms.

### 24-Hour Scoring

Dstillery refreshes and rescores the entire device graph daily. Audience segments reflect the most recent behavior available.

### Activation

Sending an audience to a DSP, SSP, or social platform for campaign delivery.

### Agent

A specialized workflow for a specific audience task. Agents streamline defined requests. Access them from the home screen or the **Agents** page.

### Audience Seed

The data or signals used to train an audience model, such as CRM lists or conversion pixels.

### Consented Panel Data

Opted-in data that helps Dstillery understand behavior at scale.

### Custom AI Audience

An audience built from your first-party data. DS-1 models your customers and finds similar people across the open web.

### Custom Built Audience

An audience built from proxy signals, such as domains, keywords, or retail products. Use it when you lack first-party data but understand your target audience's behaviors.

### First-Party Data

Data collected directly from customer interactions, such as CRM lists, site visits, or conversions.

### ID-Based

Targeting tied to a specific device or user identifier. It allows audiences to be activated and measured at the individual level.

### ID-Free

Targeting built from anonymous, aggregated behavioral signals rather than device or user identifiers. It performs without cookies or IDs while meeting the same performance benchmarks as ID-based tactics.

### Lookalike Audience

An audience modeled from people who share traits with a seed audience.

### Multimodal AI

Dstillery's AI learns from different data types. It applies those learnings to create targetable audience segments.

### Pre-Built Audience

A ready-to-activate Dstillery audience built for a defined interest, behavior, or demographic.

### Project

A workspace for related conversations, files, and context. Projects keep history and files together for recurring campaigns or client work.

### Proxy Signals

Behavioral inputs that represent the people a campaign aims to reach, such as content consumption or URL visits.

### Segrank

A predictive lift score that measures expected audience performance against random targeting. Higher scores indicate stronger predicted performance. DS-1 uses these scores to surface high-performing audience categories.

### Workflow

A saved sequence of steps. DS-1 provides recommended workflows for common actions. You can also build and save workflows for repeated tasks.
